Our mission is to protect and preserve the ecological, historical, and cultural significance of the Greater Bagby Hot Springs Area while ensuring safe and sustainable access for all. In support of this mission, we seek to foster an enduring community of people who are motivated by this mission and enabled to make meaningful contributions.
We are a local grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit organization, officially incorporated in Oregon. We are a group of dedicated non-profit professionals, and life-long Bagby enthusiasts and activists. We seek to embody a diverse set of perspectives, and a multidisciplinary approach to stewardship of the greater Bagby area. Among our ranks are members from all past organizations which have had a hand in the stewardship of the springs. The experience and knowledge of the Bagby family, Forest Service, Friends of Bagby, Northwest Forest Conservancy, Trailkeepers of Oregon, and even California Land Management are all represented.
Bagby Conservation Collective was formed by people who have been volunteering at the Springs and in the Clackamas River Ranger District for decades. It is our purpose to care for all areas of the site from a local and non-profit standpoint.
Our goals are to restore the bathhouses, create an interpretive center, and repair the cabin and other historic buildings. We intend to provide safety for visitors via a constant presence, and educate the public about the history and significance of Bagby Hot Springs as well as the wilderness that surrounds it.
Regardless of who receives the contract to manage the springs, Bagby Conservation Collective will be there to help. By working to address major issues, in partnership with the Forest Service, we serve the springs and the communities that rely on them. Your support, now and in the future, will ensure the ongoing presence of a community-oriented, non-profit guardian of the springs.
Your donations, in-kind donations, and volunteer efforts will make a difference far beyond the springs as we grow together and become caretakers, stewards, and guardians of the wilderness, forests, mountains and waters that surround the springs we love.

We Are Stronger Together
Bagby Conservation Collective believes that in order to truly protect our natural environment, we must work in meaningful collaboration with all members of our society. We strive to bring stakeholders together to address overlapping problems. Bagby needs a voice, and that voice should be in harmony with all of the diverse and varied interests who have a stake in it’s stewardship and care. We are commited to a path of learning and bridge building, for we know that we are stronger together!
Bagby Conservation Collective is committed to creating and maintaining an environment where people treat one another with respect regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, or family/parental status. Bagby Conservation Collective has zero tolerance for sexual harassment. We expect everyone to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with a professional and supportive work and volunteer environment.
